Free tools supported by advertising
The tools are free to use. Where enabled, advertising helps fund hosting and operation. Advertising availability and personalization depend on your consent choices and applicable rules. You do not need to click advertisements to use the tool.
No general customer support or recovery service
We do not provide general customer support, guaranteed response times, assistance recovering passwords, or restoration of expired pastes. Keep your own copy and ask the sender for a new paste if a link expires. This does not restrict privacy-rights requests, reports of unlawful content, or other legally protected communications.
Temporary sharing, at your discretion
VirtualELibrary’s Copy Paste Text is a temporary plain-text sharing service, not a secure vault, backup service or permanent archive. Decide whether this service is appropriate before uploading anything.
Do not upload important or sensitive information
Do not submit passwords, API keys, financial details, identity documents, health information, confidential business material or anything whose loss or disclosure could cause harm. Keep your own copy of any text you need. The service must not be the only place you store important information.
Disclosure and security risks
No online service can guarantee that information will remain private, secure or available. Content, links or passwords may be exposed through unauthorized access, security incidents, guessing, forwarding, recipient actions or user error. Unprotected pastes can be read by anyone with the link. Password protection is not end-to-end encryption and does not remove these risks. Do not rely on expiry to undo copies made by recipients or third parties.
Your responsibility for content
You remain responsible for the content you upload, your right to share it, whom you send links/passwords to, and your use of text received from others. Do not share unlawful material, stolen credentials, personal data without authority, or material that infringes another person’s rights. Uploading does not transfer ownership to us; you permit the technical storage and display needed to provide the service.
Expiry and no restoration service
Pastes become unavailable at their selected expiry, within 24 hours, and are deleted from the live database by scheduled cleanup. We do not provide a recovery or restoration service for expired pastes. Please do not request expired text or the password used to protect it. If a link has expired, ask its sender for a new copy. Hosting backups, if any, are not a user-accessible recovery service.
Custom names become available for reuse after expiry. An old custom link may then open an unrelated person’s paste. We do not reserve expired names for their previous users.
Availability and warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted access, confidentiality, accuracy, preservation or fitness for a particular purpose. Content may become unavailable through expiry, deletion, outages, abuse controls or legal requirements. This does not limit any mandatory legal duties owed by the operator.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for loss of content, unauthorized disclosure, interruption, loss of profit, and indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. You should avoid uploading information that requires guaranteed confidentiality or availability. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, mandatory consumer rights, or rights and remedies under applicable data-protection law.
Privacy and reports
Our privacy notice explains how information is processed and how to contact the operator. The expiry/restoration policy does not prevent privacy-rights requests, abuse reports or other requests protected by law.
